The Miner Paradise Complex consists of the Emigrant Fire Sheep Fire and the North Eightmile Fire. A local Forest Service Type 3 organization took over managing the three fires the morning of Monday September 9. The Horsetail Fire will be managed by the local Bozeman Ranger District fire personnel. The closure area around the Sheep Fire has been lifted. Closures around the Emigrant Fire include FS Road 348 from its junction with the Gold Prize Road. FS Trails #61 (Sixmile Trail) #606 (North Fork Sixmile Trail) and #65 (Emigrant Creek Trail) will remain closed in their entirety. Please see the maps page under this incident for the revised map of the Emigrant Fire closure area. All fires in the complex have shown little or no fire activity recently. Suppression rehab efforts have been completed on the Sheep Fire and Emigrant Fire. The Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Team completed their on-site assessment of the burned areas.
